Most news and gifts venues should be open by mid-October, food and beverage venues by mid-January
A spokeswoman for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport says they're making progress on getting new vendors and concessions at the airport, in particular unique local brands that define New Orleans.
Michelle Wilcut tells 99.5FM all of the news and gifts venues except one are expected to be open and operating by mid-October.
"We have already opened the Saints store, we've opened a Perlis store, we have opened a brand new news and gifts store on Concourse D," Wilcut said.
All of the new food and beverage venues should be open by mid-January, in time for the Super Bowl.
"We're gonna have Dooky Chase, Ye Olde College Inn, Copeland's Cheesecake Scoops, we're gonna have a regular Copeland's, WOW Wingery, Abita Bar," Wilcut said.
"New Orleans is known for its food, and that's what people were wanting," Wilcut said.
