Aaron Kromer says the week off will give the players a chance to rest, heal their bodies and come back stronger
The (1-4) Saints are off this week. They won't play again until Sunday, October 21, when they take on a division opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in Tampa.
At his Monday press conference, interim head coach Aaron Kromer said now's a good time for a bye week.
"It's a time after five games for them to rest and get their bodies to heal and come back stronger."
Kromer says Sunday night's 31-24 win over the Chargers gives the team momentum that they need to carry into the next game.
"We're happy that we got the first win. We're definitely not satisfied where we are."
Kromer says the players will be off Tuesday through Sunday, then return to practice next Monday.
