St. Tammany season ticket holder accuses NFL and Commish of "vindictive and unfounded inteference"

A Saints season ticket holder from St. Tammany Parish has filed suit in federal court over the bounty program penalties imposed against the team by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

David Mancina says he purchased his tickets in March 2012 without knowing that the NFL had been conducting an investigation since 2009 and with the belief that the Saints would be able to field "a contending team."

The suit, which seeks over $80 million in damages for season ticket holders, alleges that Goodell and the league engaged in "dictatorial, unreasonable, vindictive, and unfounded inteference."

The lawsuit also contends that Sean Payton, Mickey Loomis, Jonathan Vilma and Will Smith were suspended without due process, sufficient evidence and consideration of the rights of ticket holders.
