Details of agreement with Hornets guard not released
The Hornets have exercised their fourth-year option on guard Greivis Vasquez who was acquired from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Quincy Pondexter in December 2011.
Details of the agreement were not released.
Last season, Vasquez averaged 8.9 points per game, 5.4 assists per game and 2.6 rebounds per game in 66 games.
This preseason he averaged 7.4 assists, third best in the NBA behind Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo.
The 6'6" Vasquez is a native of Venezuela and is only the third native of that country to play a game in the NBA.
