Adjournment opens the possibility for Jonathan Vilma and Will Smith to play Monday night against the Eagles

No word yet on when the Saints bounty appeals hearings, that were set for Tuesday, Oct. 30, will be rescheduled.

Former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue adjourned the hearings, apparently because of the threat of Hurricane Sandy. The hearings were to be held in Washington, D.C., in the area expected to be affected by the hurricane.

The adjournment opens the possibility for Jonathan Vilma and Will Smith to play against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday night, Nov. 5, in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
