Coach Vitt vows to explore all avenues to beat their next opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles
As the Saints prepare this week for a Monday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles, questions linger about their defensive performance in the loss to the Broncos as well as their defensive scheme.
Interim Head Coach Joe Vitt addressed those concerns at a late Monday afternoon press conference.
"It's too late in the year to change schemes. We are what we are, and we are gonna do what we have taught. Now, that being said, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. We'll explore everything that we have to do to beat the Philadelphia Eagles."
As for the practice plan, Vitt said, "Our players will have off tomorrow and they'll have off Wednesday. This is an extended week. They'll all be responsible to come in here and watch the film and get the corrections made, run and lift on their own and we'll start our preparations for the Eagles on Thursday."
The (2-5) Saints host the (3-4) Eagles Monday, Nov. 5, at 7:30pm.
