Suspects nabbed after they allegedly robbed four adults at Louisiana and Magazine
Two adults and two juveniles ages 14 and 15 have been arrested following an armed robbery at Louisiana Avenue and Magazine Street Sunday night.
The boys held up four adults at gunpoint, making off with a man's wallet and a woman's purse and fleeing in a car that was occupied by the two adult suspects.
The get-away car was later spotted and stopped in the 2800 block of South Claiborne where the driver, 20-year-old Devanta Claiborne, a passenger identified as 29-year-old Devan Stevens and the two teenaged suspects were arrested and later charged with armed robbery.
Police say they recovered the guns believed to have been used in the robbery and the stolen purse and wallet. The victims later positively identified the car and the teeangers who committed the robbery.
Police Superintendent Ronal Serpas said he found it "more than disturbing" that two teenagers were out looking for residents to rob at gunpoint.
