Price for beer at N.O. Arena drops this season
The New Orleans Hornets open a new season tonight with the San Antonio Spurs at the Arena. Tipff comes just after 7pm.
A pre-game block party begins at 5pm at Champions Square with live music provided by the band Bag of Donuts.
The season opener will make the NBA debut of the first overall pick in the 2012 Draft, Anthony Davis, and the 10th overall selection Austin Rivers the son of the Celtics coach.
9 other players, including Robin Lopez, Ryan Anderson, Roger Mason, Jr., and Darius Miller will also make their Hornets debut in the home opener.
Fans will welcome a lower price for beer at the Arena this season. The price for a 16oz draft has been dropped from $8 to $6. The concessionaire has also lowered prices for hot dogs and chicken wings and dropped the price of water by 25 cents a bottle.
Games will be broadcast by Fox Sports on a regional sports network that has been rebranded as Fox Sports New Orleans from Fox Sports Southwest. The network will carry 75 regular-season games.
