Anthony Davis may miss several games after suffering a minor concussion Friday night in the game with Utah.
The Hornets will have to follow a list of NBA procedures before Davis can return. Under guidelines adopted in 2011, Davis will have to undergo a battery of tests and visit with an neurologist hired by the league before he is cleared to return.
Davis was inadvertently elbowed by his teammate Austin Rivers Friday night and left the floor with about five minutes remaining in the first half.
He was pulled from the line-up for Saturday's game in Chicago.
