Vasquez leads Hornets with 18, Lopez and Smith score 16 each

Greivis Vasquez led the Hornets with 18 points and Robin Lopez and Jason Smith each contributed 16 as New Orleans defeated the Chicago Bulls 89-28 without Anthony Davis.

Ryan Anderson added 12 points and 13 rebounds and the Hornets hit 20 of 23 free throws in the victory.

The Hornets trailed by seven in the second quarter and led by 10 in the third but had to hang on down the stretch, with Nate Robinson making it as tough as he could on them.

Robinson finished the game with 15 points.  Luol Deng led all scorers with 19 and former Hornet Marco Belinelli scored 13 for the Bulls.

Chicago shot just 33% in the contest.

Both teams were playing back-to-back games.  After losing their opener to San Antonio and defeating the Jazz and the Bulls, the Hornets have a season record of 2-1.
