The longtime drummer and leader of the Original Tuxedo Jazz Band of New Orleans has died at the age of 74.
Bob French passed on Monday following a lengthy illness.
In addition to serving as leader of the band since 1977, Mr. French worked as a deejay for years on WWOZ-FM.
He retired from the band in 2011.
