39-year-old wanted in shooting death of woman remains at large
The NOPD believes a man wanted for the murder of a woman on S. Roman Street Saturday may be getting help from relatives or friends as he remains on the run.
39-year-old Larry Haynes is a suspect in the shooting death of 26-year-old Tiara Reynolds. Reynolds was shot in the head and three other persons were wounded. Investigators say it happened as Reynolds' children looked on.
The NOPD believes Haynes may have been injured during the incident and detectives have uncovered evidence that someone in the city may be aiding him as he continues to elude police.
The department notes that anyone who assists a suspected murder can be charged with being an accessory after-the-fact and face a prison sentence of up to 5 years.
Haynes is wanted on one count of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder.
