Bears considering Saints offensive coordinator for head coaching position
Saints' offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, Jr., is expected to be interviewed by the general manager of the Chicago Bears today as the team searches for a replacement for fired head coach Lovie Smith.
Carmichael is one of at least 7 persons GM Phil Emery is expected to meet with.
Caarmichael has served as the offensive coordinator for the Saints since 2009 when Doug Marrone left the franchise to become head coach at Syracuse.
Last year, we was considered for coaching jobs in Oakland and Indianapolis.
Others believed to be scheduled for interviews with the Bears include Packers offensive coordinator Tom Clements and Denver offensive coordinator Mike McCoy,
