"Person of interest" is 20-year-old from New Orleans charged in another murder
The Slidell Police Department is investigating the murder late Monday night of a 21-year-old man whose body was found in a parking lot in the 1400 block of Gause Boulevard.
The victim, Warren Pryor of Slidell, had been shot twice in the head and was pronounced dead on the scene around 11PM.
Identified as a "person of interest" in the case is 20-year-old Michael Smith who turned himself in to the NOPD Monday after being named as a suspect in the murder Sunday of 25-year-old Joshua Walker in the 3400 block of Audubon Court
The NOPD says he will be charged with second-degree murder in the slaying.
Pryor's vehicle, a silver Chevrolet Malibu, was found burned in New Orleans.
There was no early word on a possible motive.
