Body of man found in yard of abandoned residence
The NOPD is investigating the murder of a man whose body was found around 2pm Tuesday outside an abandoned residence in the 7th Ward.
The initial report came from a 9-1-1 caller who said the body had been in a rear yard of the home in the 1600 block of North Rocheblave Street "for awhile."
The department says officers discovered that the man had been shot multiple times. They also found narcotics on the scene.
The name of the victim was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
