Two construction workers suffer minor injuries
A portion of a residence undergoing renovation on General Pershing Street in New Orleans collapsed Thursday afternoon injuring two construction workers.
The New Orleans Fire Department reports that the building, a single-story double apparently was being converted into a single-family dwelling.
A portion of the structure at 729 General Pershing collapsed around 2pm.
Firefighters saw two workers emerging from the building when they arrived on the scene. The two suffered bruises and puncture wounds and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
