The airport upgrades come less than three weeks before the city hosts the Super Bowl Feb. 3
Mayor Mitch Landrieu and members of the New Orleans Aviation Board held an Open House at the airport Tuesday to show off the changes that have been made there to improve the passenger experience.
The $300 million makeover features a new and bright interior with a refurbished ticket lobby, expanded concourse, improved baggage claim, remodeled restrooms, an updated exterior, a new consolidated car rental facility and new restaurants and retail offerings.
The upgrades come less than three weeks before the city hosts the Super Bowl on Feb. 3.
