Representatives of Entergy, Superdome scheduled to appear at hearing
Officials from the Superdome's management company and a utility company are preparing to discuss Sunday's Super Bowl power outage with New Orleans City Council members.
A hearing on the matter is scheduled this morning.
The council is the regulatory agency for Entergy New Orleans. Member Cynthia Hedge-Morrell, the chairwoman of its utility committee, say she set the meeting for late-week to give Entergy time to gather and analyze data.
Superdome and Entergy officials have said the 34-minute outage occurred when sensing equipment in the area where Entergy and Superdome equipment intersect detected some sort of anomaly, causing a breaker to open and cut power to half the stadium.
Earlier this week the companies said they would bring in an outside expert to determine the source of the anomaly, which hasn't been described in detail.
