Store to be at N. Broad and Bienville and is expected to open by year's end
Whole Foods has announced plans to open a third store on the southshore.
The store will be located in the former Schwegmann's store on North Broad Street at Bienville Avenue in Mid-City.
"We anticipate to open later this year in 2013, more than likely in December. It's a 25,000 square foot store," says Kristina Bradford, a spokeswoman for Whole Foods.
"We anticipate that we'll hire about 80 to 100 team members, and once we are ready to begin hiring, we will have information posted online at wholefoodsmarket.com," Bradford said.
Whole Foods has stores in Metairie, Uptown and in Baton Rouge.
