D.A. is looking into the incident Sunday night
A rider who allegedly threw a plastic bottle of urine from a float in the Bacchus parade Sunday night reportedly has been banned from the organization.
Fox 8 reported that a Slidell couple reported that they and others were splashed by urine when the bottle was thrown in their direction as they were watching the passing parade in the Warehouse District.
Bacchus board member Clark Brennan told Fox 8 that the floats in the parade are outfitted with portable toilets so it's unclear why the rider would have a container of urine at all.
The Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office is looking into the incident.
The unidentified rider was issued a summons for simple battery and urinating in public a short time after the incident.
