They could be "cap casualties" if they don't agree
ESPN reports that the Saints will ask Jonathan Vilma and Will Smith to restructure their contracts.
Smith is due to receive $10.1 million next season, while Vilma is owed $6 million in the final year of his contract.
ESPN's Pat Yasinskas says if they are unwilling to restructure, they could become cap casualties.
As of Friday, the Saints were about $13.5 million over the salary cap, but Yasinskas says that was before Curtis Lofton agreed to a restructuring.
