Female student alleges she was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance inside a university parking garage
New Orleans police say the reported rape on campus of a Loyola University student in a university parking garage early Friday morning was not a random attack.
According to a statement released by police Monday, the victim said she was drinking at a bar when she met the alleged suspect and danced with him.
Police say the victim further stated that she allowed him to walk her home at which time she alleges that he sexually assaulted her while they were in the parking garage.
Detectives have been in contact with the suspect and will be meeting with him at a scheduled time, according to the statement.
