Aerial search of Lakeview, City Park will be conducted
The search for a Harvey second-grade teacher who has been missing since last Saturday morning is expanding.
26-year-old Terrilyn Monette was last seen around 4AM Saturday in the parking lot of Parlay's bar on Harrison Avenue in Lakeview where she had gone to meet a college friend.
On Saturday, an aerial search of Lakeview and City Park will be conducted by the NOPD with the assistance of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Service.
The NOPD says a ground search of the park also will be conducted by volunteers and NOPD officers including some from the department's Mounted Division.
Volunteers are welcome and are asked to assemble in the parking area across from the City Park Golf Driving Range at Filmore Avenue and Wisner Boulevard at 10AM.
Monette's mother, who has joined other family members from California in the search effort, says she has been "overwhelmed" by the public response to her daughter's disappearance.
