Member of a Latin gang wanted in October murder arrested on Iris Avenue
A suspect in a murder last October in Raleigh, North Carolina has been captured in Jefferson Parish.
21-year-old Jorge Juarez was arrested without incident Thursday evening at a home in the 200 block of Iris Avenue. Authorities saiad Juarez had been living in Jefferson Parish since November.
Juarez was wanted for a homicide in which a man was killed while a group of individuals were burglarizing his vehicle. The case received significant media attention on North Carolina after the perpetrators were identified as members of a Latin gang named Sureno 13.
Juarez was apprehended by members of the U.S. Marshal's Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
