One man stabbed, the other shot to death
New Orleans police are investigating the city's fourth murder in just over 24 hours while homicide detectives in Jefferson Parish probe a fatal shooting in Harvey Monday night.
The NOPD is looking for clues in the stabbing death of a man in the 2600 block of Third Street. The victim, identified only as a Hispanic male, was found stabbed multiple times around 8:30PM Monday. This followed three fatal shootings in the city that occurred between 7PM Sunday and 3AM Monday.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Byron Jones in Harvey.
Jones was shot several times outside his apartment in the 4100 block of La Couture in Harvey aaround 8:30PM. Residents of the area told deputies they heard what sounded lke ten shots being fired.
