Total reward now stands at $5,500
The reward for information in the case of missing Harvey school teacher, Terrilynn Monette has been raised to $5,500.
The amount climbed on Thursday as the Jefferson Parish Federation of Teachers and the American Federation of Teachers collectively added another $2,000 to the fund.
"Terrilynn is a treasured teacher, whose energy and enthusiasm transfers to her students every single day. If anyone saw or heard anything that could be helpful, please come forward," said JFT President Meladie Munch.
Monette, a second-grade teacher at the Woodland West Elementary School, was last seen leaving a parking lot on Harrison Avenue in Lakeview early on the morning of Saturday, March 2.
She had gone to Parlay's bar Friday night to meet a friend from college.
Images from area surveillance cameras revealed her car leaving the area around 5:30am and traveling east on Harrison Avenue where it turned lakebound on Marconi Drive.
Her whereabouts after that remain a mystery.
There had been speculation her car may have ended up in a waterway near City Park, but a weeklong search of retention ponds and Bayou St. John by a non-profit group from Texas revealed no sign of her missing 2012 Honda Accord.
