Ticket for Saturday's drawing was sold in St. Francisville
A couple of Powerball tickets sold in Louisiana are making news.
Louisiana Lottery spokeswoman Kimberly Chopin says a ticket for last Saturday's drawing, which matched the first five numbers but missed the powerball number, is worth $1 million. It was purchased in St. Francisville at the State Line Food Mart on Highway 61.
The holder of that ticket has 6 months to claim the prize.
A second $1 million Powerball match 5 prize remains unclaimed. It was purchased in St. Rose for the Dec. 5, 2012 drawing. The last day to claim the prize is June 3.
The Powerball jackpot for the next drawing, which is Wednesday, is estimated at $350 million, the third largest of all time, Chopin said.
