WHAT:
P&G Relief Center and Tide Loads of Hope
Procter & Gamble has set up a Relief Center in LaPlace where Hurricane Isaac victims can take showers, use bathrooms and receive free diapers, personal care items, batteries and other necessities. Tide’s Loads of Hope laundry facility, which was here 7 years ago to assist Katrina victims, will wash, dry and fold individual loads of laundry for anyone who needs this vital service.
UPDATE: Over 6,000 relief kits and 4,000 batteries were given out in the LaPlace area today by Procter & Gamble. They will be stationed in the area all week at their Relief Center distributing free items to those in need.
WHO:
· P&G Personal Care brands including: Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Crest, Pampers, Secret, Old Spice, Charmin, Gillette and more
· Duracell is handing out 1,000 free batteries per hour from its Rapid Responder mobile unit, which also has a charging station for laptops and cell phones
· Tide has washed over 49,000 loads of laundry for 35,000 families since Katrina, helping victims of tornadoes, flooding and other disasters.
